I saw a karambit knife at my mates place and I feel in love with it. The only thing is he lives in the states and I'm from Canada, so Iv bee looking to buy one for a long time now. I'm not sure if the are legal or not.

Honestly I am not aware of a law that targets karambits anywhere, though non-English speaking countries I may simply be unaware of. Banning karambit potentially means banning a variety of common and essential farming and construction tools.
Ah ah not so fast. I said a law that targets karambits, meaning it names them or includes a description the targets them (i.e. possessing a curved blade sharpened on it's concave edge). Catch-all "dangerous weapon" laws don't count.New York, since they have a "primarily weapon design"...go figure.
