Is Pacific Salt basically an H1 Endura?

View attachment 705815 My best work knife! It is an absolute beast! Very easily sharpened on a Sharpmaker!

Even though the black blade is pretty redundant on 100% rust proof steel, I sure do like the looks of the blacked out serrated Pac Salt. I only wish it had some nested H1 liners, Im not really a fan of linerless +FRN.

I've never really been into black knives, but I want a blacked-out Pacific Salt sofa-king bad. Enduras are awesome, SE H1 is also awesome. Win, win.

Get the Pacific Salt, forget about the logo and beat it like a rented mule. Just a suggestion. I'd also suggest picking up a SM too. I have diamond benchstones like you and use them often but the sharpmaker (aside from making it easy to sharpen your serrated edges) is an amazing tool for edge maintenance and touch ups. Once you have an edge properly apexed on your diamond stones, it is almost effortless keeping it razor sharp with the sharpmaker. Again, just a suggestion. :)

They are totally two different knives but, have some similarities. First off no liners in the salt line, the serrated h1 is a much better cutting edge than the vg10. The spyder hole is bigger on the salts. The salt has more of a sheep's foot tip, Ti clip and volcano scales. The salts are also lighter due to the lack of liners. The end of the knife is squared off with that screw down type clip and is a tad shorter than the endura.

Honestly only thing I would take from the endura over to the salt line is the Wave and the grip texture. Otherwise the h1 is superior in all other ways. :-) i also love yellow.

Your observations about the handle length and texture are true if you are comparing the Pacific Salt to the Endura4. However the O.P. was talking about the Endura 3, which shares the exact same handle as the Pacific Salt.

I love my Pacific Salt. It's a very useful blade, and I don't even notice it in my pocket.
