Is simple better?

There was a small custom graphic sold here a while ago that had three crosses and a sunset. It was really stunning, and though I generally don't go for that kind of stuff, I had my finger on the trigger.

If(when) I get a sebenza, I could go either way with it. I have seen some tacky graphics, and also some nice looking 'plain' sebenzas.
 
I prefer the plain ones but this one has special significance for me and my best friend for the last 14 years!

With graphic's ...I like and want the Pheasant Tail and the fly fisherman but on a Classic Sebbie. I love the ivory/mammoth's inlay's and some Mayo'd holed ones. There sweeeeeet!:thumbup:

I haven't seen any graphics ones that appeal to me yet. I just bought my first Sebenza, a plain ole large 21. If they were hand-worked, maybe the graphics would appeal to me more.
 
I really prefer the plain Seb's to the graphic ones. For a few reasons:

1) I've always been a minimalist and if it doesn't need to be there I don't want it there.

2) I don't feel as bad dinging or scratching a plain Sebenza up.

With all that said, I will say the 9/11 Commemorative Sebenza is probably one of the most amazing things I've seen.
 
I work in an office setting, and have chosen the large regular as my EDC. I like graphics because when people see it, they marvel at the graphics and it seems to reduce the classic sheeple response.

I think that there is room in the collection for all types and would have no problem using a decorated model for EDC but I do prefer plain Ti or micarta inserts for a "working/hard use" knife.
 
I only like the plain Sebenzas. I even rub off the blue on the studs and spacer. I hate inlays, anodizing and decorative sculpting and grinding.

you could just order it with unanodized fittings. i always do. i like lisa's work but the main tweeks that i like are the ones i make: double t-lugs and a swedge on the large reg, hmmmm. just please don't order that swedge on the 21.
