Is Spring Temper the best??? Read this and tell me what you think.

Yes Diff temper in my world means a hard edge spring back. You can start with a full hardened blade then reduce the hardness in the back if you want. There are several ways to get to the spring back full hard edge.
Most knifemakers have there own process to get this result depending on the steel and type of blade that it is.

As for small blades. It depends on the configuration of the blade . If a blade has a
stress point I reduce the temper in that area. On general folder blades for liner locking type knives I use full hard heat treating. Other small blades very with type of knife they are used in.
