The DVD that came with my Sharpmaker didnt work (right out of the box) so I emailed Spyderco about a week ago and they haven't responded yet.

Should I call them?

I know its something small but I really want to see how Spyderco says to use it. I have a hard time trusting youtube.

I'd call if it's been a week. Emails are notoriously unreliable forms of communication. It's too easy to have one get sent to the junk/spam folder by accident.

Thanks Josh K and tinwiskers!

Mongomondo,

I was asking because I didnt want to call up and be a pain in the ass if they are gonna get to me. Why bother with a reply like that?

Give them a call and save the headache for later. They'll take care of you.

I sent Spyderco an email earlier this month and received a reply the same day (my thanks to Mike Kelly at the SFO). I imagine that the response time varies, just as the number (and type) of email messages they receive each day would vary.

Unfortunately these days of instance message delivery have led to an expectation of instant response. Things were more relaxed when paper mail was the standard for communication.

Can you tell me which e-mail address you sent your question to or did you use one of the "Contact Us" forms on our site?

Please PM or e-mail (khunter@spyderco.com) me with your mailing address and we'll get a new DVD out to you.

Thanks!

Kristi

I used the Contact Form on the website and my request for information about the non arrival of my order has never been responded to, I was also denied membership to their Forum as I have a free email account.

Not impressed!

If you'd like to e-mail me a little bit more information about the non arrival of your order, I can see that SFO gets your request and contacts you.

As for the Forum, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but we've made a commitment to keep our site SPAM free. If you can e-mail me the User Name you'd like to have and your birth date, I'd be happy to register you for our site Forum.

Email sent.

I did the "contact us" deal on the website last week.

Thanks a ton for the help.

Sorry for any inconvenience I've caused.

Now that I'm thinking about it I guess I never actually sent an email since I used the "contact us" feature on the site.

To correct myself I was waiting on an email.
