Well the heading says it all. I am watching Suvivorman now, PST. And i can't really tell for sure, but i think i see the randall stamp on his blade now.
Have I been missing it all along????

All I've ever seen him with is a multitool and SAK. He lives not far from my house BTW, kinda cool. Haven't met him yet but I'll work on it. I hear he's a decent guy.

My favorite site was the one in the Costa Rican jungle with NO Machete! Which episode are you talking about now with a Randall and what model do you see?

I saw him on Alaska with what appeared to be a Winchester drop pt and at least one where he has a Buck 119 Hunter. Of course always the Leatherman and one in the Boreal Forest with an axe. I have not seen a Randall. They rerun often.

I should have noted the episode I had no idea he switched knives so often, though it would seem you gents have his knives pretty well figured. (he ahd two pack horses with him in this show, if that helps, can't be too many of those)

It was the size shape and overall appearance of the forge stamp that made me think it was randall, does the winchester get a stamp the same way? I didn't actually get to read it, becasue the show being what it is, it was in use at the time.

It's hard to tell exactly but that knife in the Rockies/horseback episode is for sure a long clip pt hollow ground mid size hunter type. Looks alot like a SOG Trident. I don't think its a Randall though. Randall is a great outdoor field knife though.

Maybe someone else will correct me.

I just remembered it could be a Blackjack as well, not only would the knife look the same, but the forge stamp would be similar inn location size and appearance, you'd have to be close and still to read it.

When he was on those tropical islands (forget the name), he has a knife with a classic kabar shape. It looked like it may have been a SOG.

This is the episode where he catches a bird, or "Booboo"

he said he tries to pick up local goods from local retailers for his shows....forgot where i read that though

For each episode, Les picked a knife based on what a person in that part of the world would likely be carrying. That's it.
