Is that something we'll see in the future?

No idea what that means, because I can't decipher those diagrams, but that looks an awful lot like a Paramilitary, and the patent is 2 years old, so I'm guessing it's one of the features of the Para that nobody ever noticed.

That's my guess.

My guess would be that is the patent for the stop lock Sal has mentioned a time or two, to be released on an as yet unspecified knife at an as yet unspecified date ;) :D

If that isn't vague enough, run a search for "stop lock" on this forum.

Think you're right, looks that way to me also.

Stop-lock.

I believe I've mentioned this before. We came up with any idea for a lock back about 2000. Actually engineering and creating a working model proved very challenging for many years. The solutions were incremental and involved a number of people in R&D. We got a patent on the lock about a year or so ago. We made a working model early this year that held "very heavy duty" (MBC).

I would like to introduce the lock on a refined Military model. We'll be making a number of "improvements" to the new model, that we have come up with of have been suggested by our customers, but I think that is a subject for another thread.

As mentioned, that's our "Stop-lock". The stop pin and lock are one piece. Self adjusting and under compression.

It's a nice lock. It's in engineering now. We'll more than likely fit it to a Military first for testing.

Sorta like a cammed lockback, neat. Why does the patent say back locks use stop pins anyway?
