Is the 0801 worth it?

I recently found one at a good price. And I am impressed with it. Mine flips great, is dead center and is one of the sharpest out of the box knives I've ever received. I've only found one drawback. It is hard to remove from the pocket because of the deep carry clip and the titanium scales. But if I use the index finger on the end of the clip, with the thumb inside the pocket on the other scale it works better. Not what I'm used to, but it works.

Every penny. Mine is literally perfect, solid lock up, super smooth, strong detent, dead centered, not a single flaw. :)

ive only had mine since last week, but my initial impression is absolutely yes

"Worth" is a subjective term and changes from one person to the other. Is it "worth" it? Only you can answer that question.

I carried mine yesterday and was thinking to myself how nice it is. Just like Kirby's, mine is perfect. It is easily one of the top 5 production flippers IMO. The only drawback is the weight, but if you like that style of knife, weight is probably not an issue for you.

Ubiquitous knife porn...

What other USA made full Ti bearing pivot knife can you get for the 0801s price??

This knife would be a good choice for you if you can afford It.I read your other thread.I have had an 801 in my rotation since it was released.Best flipper action I have experienced.Smooth solid knife with thick blade stock and is very pocket friendly if a little weight does not bother you.

I really, really like mine. It made me forget about my 0560 completely. If it wasn't so damn heavy, I'd probably find an excuse to carry it more. Instead, I only carry it when I'm wearing jeans. Obligatory knife shot:

-Two slabs of titanium
-Elmax steel
-KVT bearing flipper
-ZT's warranty
-little under $200

Sounds good to me

Now that is one heavy knife! That looks like every pair of Levi's jeans I've owned after about 6 months of wear. Some of the flimsiest jeans made these days.

The 0801 I owned was an incredible value for the money! Wish they made a 4" version!
