Is the Becker BK2 a good knife?

im looking to buy a knife for everything ranging from survival to just playing with. someone suggested a Becker BK2. is it any good? does it have a full tang? would you recommend something else? thanks!
 
Is water wet?...the bk2 is a great knife and an excellent value. It is full tang. I would recommend a Bk14 to be purchased at the same time(that way you save on shipping).

As said, it is a great knife and a great value. It is very robust and stout. Makes a great camp knife, yard work knife, "survival" knife, etc....

I purchased three, one to gift to a friend and two to keep. Can't really see wearing one out so I think one will be going to my Brother-in-law.

I put a set of micarta scales on mine and I freaking love it!!

If you buy one, I'd highly recommend purchasing the micarta handles too. They make it feel 2 x better ( stock handles feel good already). I also feel they balance the knife better, subjectively speaking, of course.
 
I own one, with micarta and love it. That said, it is a thick knife. Not all knives need to be that heavy duty. It's not an EDC knife for most, and will be used mostly for camping, yard work, bushcraft etc..
If you want a great knife for EDC, belt carry, food prep, etc.. you may want to consider a BK11, !$, or even remora.

Beckers are excellent quality/value knives.

Nah it sucks. Don't waste your money. I hear the new Bear Gyles knife is good ;)

IMHO, the BK 2 is one of the best/toughest knives dollar for dollar.

And, remember if you don't like it for some reason, you can always sell a good knife.
 
!!! Wow, the cojones on this guy...coming into Beckerland sleepin on a BK2...thank god it's only the intertube.
 
it's not a *good* knife.

it's a fantastically great knife. a classic. buy one already. why are you still waiting? go go go!

the price though, is quite good :)

The BK2 is more of an "experience" than a knife. From the first touch it makes you feel happy and strong at the same time. It's a lightning bolt in your hand. A sheath full of Cro-van viagra. The most powerful force you will ever hold. Yes, my son. It's a good knife.
