Is the CRKT Hissatsu any good?

I stay away from anything CRKT. I’ll admit they occasionally have some neat designs, I just wish they were being manufactured by another company.

Silent H Silent H -> Very good observation IMO. That torsion is really stiff but if you’re pushing the thumb disk straight up the blade flies open very easy.
I personally like the AO, not a huge fan of wrist flipping of any kind but it’s just me.

Not familiar with Winkler and purely out of curiosity:
Which TRC and Lionsteel knives have better penetrating blade geometry ?
TRC don’t make folders but still, I’m curios.
Lionsteel and TRC are also making Williams Blade Design models for them. WBD has a Lionsteel-made osaraku zukuri kaiken and a Winkler-made hira zukuri o-tanto available on their web site right now.

Lionsteel makes a better-quality folder version, but it's not available right now because WBD only does limited runs off a design at a time.

Very interesting, thanks for the info, learned something new !
I’ll have to check it out.
‘Everything like this made not by CRKT will have better quality, I’m sure.
‘Edit: I did check Winkler site, didn’t see anything like this available…,?

Look at the Williams Blade Design site here. Also Knifecenter may still have the TRC-made 3.5" shobu zukuri kaiken.

EDIT: Looks like KC and BHQ are both out.

Here's my 4.5" TRC-made shobu zukuri kaiken. M390, natural canvas micarta with brass pins.
