Is the Ka-Bar New Generation knife really as good as they say it is?

hey, i've heard a whole lot of stuff about the KaBar new gen. knives and was wonderin' if it was true. i'm thinkin' bout' buyin' one and would kinda like to hear some opinions. thanx.
 
I have one and I love it. It's solid, and sharp as a razor. The synthetic material they're using for the handle is very comfortable, too. I've heard some complaints from some quarters that Ka-Bar shouldn't have gone from the double guard to a single guard (there are those who feel the double guard is important on a fighter), but I don't see that as a big problem. It's definitely an excellent hunting and utility knife.
