Is the leek I just bought a liner lock or a frame lock?

I'm just wondering if the Kershaw leek I just bought is a liner lock?

I thought they were all frame locks but now I wonder?

I ordered a red and black one and I've never seen pics of that one. I just figured it'd be like the stainless frame lock but colored differently.

Are the colored ones liner locks and the stainless ones frame locks?

If so, how are the liner locks?

The colored ones are liner locks. My brother has a Scallion with the liner lock and it seems sturdy enough. It passed spine whacks and locks up pretty tight. I highly prefer the Kershaws with frame locks but there shouldn't be any problem with the liner lock.

The Kershaw liner locks I've used have proved plenty tough, but the one framelock (Kershaw storm) has folded on a friend more than once. You might actually have gotten the better part of that deal in this case.

Funny that you mentioned that. I picked up a Storm II not too long ago and thought that the frame lock, where it is cut thin to allow bending, was very very thin. Not had a problem yet but it just looks scary thin. :)

Well, it bending isn't the problem in this case, it just doesn't have that great of lockup...it's just barely in contact....I think under lateral torque it can give out. I haven't been able to intentionally reproduce the failure though.
