I'm wondering whether the pins are made of brass just like the bolsters, and if so then how important is it to have a hardend pivot pin? When talking about a folder's lock strengh bent pivot pins are often an issue in conjunction with the lock type, but I've used my 110 pretty hard with no ill effects yet and I'm guessing it has a brass pivot that isn't all that hard compared to steel.

General,

The model 110 has always used a brass blade rivet. We don't get very many of them back broken, I guess that the shear strength is high enough to handle it. The rocker rivet has changed from brass to stainless. That happened a while back.
