Seems like I've been waiting forever for some good news about the Roc. Is it any closer to production? I think it is the knife I have been looking forward to the most.

Hi Petrosil,

They're just starting to come in. Still have to go through QC, but initial inspection looked good.

Hi Sal

Well it's been about 2 weeks now, what did QA think about them? I'm really hoping they loved them!

Quit getting me excited Petrosil!
Every time I see a thread with "ROC" in the title I assume it's the release announcement. Trying hard to forget about this one until it's out...
I've got some nice buffalo horn slabs ready for mine. :-)

Every day I search the forums, here and at Spyderco, hoping it's the day. Maybe I'm a little too OCD about this one?

Look forward to seeing the mod when you get done!

Fingers crossed that this gets released soon. Mine's been on pre-order for far too long.....

Question: Does the extra protrusion of the blade spine near the clip end make anyone feel like it'd carry strangely?

That's the one thing that has me relatively nonplussed about the knife...

Before i even finished reading your post I was thinking "man, this knife would look killer with some of his custom scales on it!"

Yes, and that's the first thing I noticed. I've been carrying a Tasman a lot lately, which IMO has a similar issue. I've since gotten used to it, but it was strange initially. Still want one though.

Yup.
It looks like it would benefit with a tip down carry.

A little bit of an inward curve on the tip of the blade would have been nice for one handed opening out of the pocket with tip up carry. Something similar to a one armed bandit slip joint. Still super excited about this knife as is though.

The Roc and Firefly and the mamba are my must haves! Sure there are a few more in there but the Roc really keeps me stalking and waiting so I can be on it asap

Stumbled upon this yesterday. Expected to be in stock on the 20th? I'm really, really hoping that's accurate. :D
