I've had mine for a week with constant carry and use. It becomes smoother by the day and now the blade just flies out. I'm still not crazy about the clip but the rest of the knife just amazes me. After an initial touch-up with my ultra-fine stones the edge is still hair popping sharp after a week's work of use for opening a few boxes, cuting up food, and general use. I am going to pick up a back-up!

No one will know if you will like it. Neither will you until you use it for a while. So how important is the money to you? When I first join bf I was in school like yourself and was working 2 jobs and can't afford to pay for a 260 dollar knife. I understand you can get the cash together now, but you don't know if next week you end up in a fender bender or meet a new girl and wants to take her out for dinner and some drinks etc.
If you don't have a sharpening system, I would get one of those too, so budget extra.
