What d'ya hunt with a knife?
Name it!

Its rough, tough, and won't take **it from any other knife! I would say that it is as close to an Ideal knife as any. It has length enough to chop, sharpness enough to cut almost anything (except maybe rock; then only maybe...) and toughness enough to last for years and years. According to Andy Priscoe they are ment to be abused. If it fits your hand and your pocketbook, go for it!

It seems the biggest arguement on the forums isn't what's best, but what's best for the price...

I had one for 4 years now. Lot's of backpacking miles on it.

It is awesome. The only thing that sucks about it is I love to own lots of knives but I never buy a knife in that genre. Cause it is the best one out there. It is like being married (which I am)I found the right woman... great, now all the hot women that pass by look great but that job is taken.

come to think of it I got married about the same time I got my busse--maybe it is karmic
The perfect knife!!!!

I own many fixed blades for use in the woods and on the land. The Steelheart II is a superb knife for what I guess you are looking for. Is it the best? I dunno. Matter of opinion. If it isn't the best, it's certainly up there. You would never have reason to regret buying one. The only frustration might be waiting to get your hands on one or getting the right sheath.

I have a Busse and its a nice knife, but for a lot of bang for the buck the Cold Steel Trailmast has served be quite well also and not so pricey as the Busse.
