My latest Sebenza, birthdate 1/7/2012, has 2 groves around the stop pin. This is my only damascus Seb and I was wondering if this is something done with damascus blades, or if they have changed the stop pin?
My guess was it was to differentiate visually the stop pin from pivot bushing. I'm not sure how it would stop lint from collecting there; if anything, added grooves should give lint extra crevices to get stuck in.
A little bit of a bump, but should that pin detach from the handle when taken apart?
It seems rather attached to the pin when I've taken it apart so I didn't force it off.
