How To Is there a brand specific forum area for Joker knives

N695 is closer in composition and in performance to 154CM and ATS-34. It's actually a step above 440C in performance if tested at the same hardness.
Bohler N690 is 440C.
I agree with the rest of your assessment.
I always thought of n690 as closer to 154cm.....guess I got mixed up there. sorry all....

Lynx, Nomad and Camparo.
Of the three the Camparo uses a different steel Sandvik 14C28N vs Böhler N695 of the other two. The Nomad has a convex blade.
Is it hard to sharpen the Nomade blade?
I do not own any Jokers. and others will fill you in on the steels.
But I am very familar with convex grinds. If it is a Convex grind with a plain bevel you can sharpen it like any knife.
But if it is fully convex the easiest home sharpening method would be done with some backing that "gives" such as an old mouse pad.
Using fine sandpaper, starting from lower grits and going higher, run the blade as if you were stropping.
If you google "sharpening a convex blade knife" you will find some youtube tutorials.
I do not find sharpening a convex knife any more difficult than any other. But I use water stones exclusively now.
I myelf find convex to be ideal for wood work, chopping. But other grinds work too so it's a personal preference..

I have a few Jokers and they are, especially in the EU, great value for money. In general they produce good quality and lower cost, workman, products. Think of something like Buck but, the European version.

The only bad thing about them is the name. Makes them sound like a joke.

This Joker was just carving up some wood yesterday. I’m a big fan of 14C28N. Comes with a very nice leather sheath as well.
