Is there a certain time knives are available online?

I know, I was bothering Guy all day to see what he might have for us. He did a pretty thorough QC on the final blades and they just didn't pass. There are enough there that we thought we would still have some good ones but these GSO-5.1 did suffer some damages. We think that is partially because folks were still getting used to the heat treat being the last step, the blades weren't hardend as they were used to.

Yea I know you guys try your best all the time so no worries.

Any word yet on if there will be new 5.1s next Monday?

If you got an email confirmation you got an order in. Those are here now, just need a few days to get them all put together. This one got a little messy, next time I will get Guy off the machines to help with the phone while I get things finished up.

There is a very slight chance that we might come across a few ok GSO-5.1s. But to be honest, if there are less than a handful we won't bother. Some people would just get some super nice Factory 2nds.

I was a little disappointed, but it's no big deal. I feel like the qc is good at survive, that I will still be getting a pretty blade. You make it sound like this the end of the 5.1 for awhile. All remaining blades were sharpened and sold today?

There will probably be a few next Monday, but we are at the bottom of the pile on these. If we had had the idea for Monday releases figured out a bit sooner we wouldn't have sold so many in the presale. Those orders definitely took a good chunk out of the production run.

Ok, I'll keep an eye on the website I suppose. I hesitated on pulling the trigger on a factory second and then it was too late. :(

I ordered my 2nd Survive! Knives GSO today but the 1st was a pre-order 6 a week ago and now this, a 5.1!! Fctory 2nd or not I am so excited to get this and can't wait to take it out and put it to work!! 😍😎👍🏽

Congrats man. Most of the time you can't even see why they would be a second.
 
My wife's is a second and she said she would never have known had I not told her! Enjoy!

Factory seconds have always been perfectly fine knives, but this seems to be a recent trend. People just can't find the blemishes.

Since I came to SURVIVE! with a 1095 production knife history, I can say that Guy's idea of a factory second is beyond good enough to be considered a full price factory first from big production companies.
