Is there a Contego owner/user to make a review after real use?

Thank you all.
So I gonna use it without regrets.
But I think I will get another cheaper knife for working with at workshop or at the yard, perhaps KaBar Gila, to replace Leatherman K502x that I lost few months ago, for use coarse such scraping rust or paint stains.
And if I can save money, another 810 before it be discontinued!!!!
Have a great Sunday :)

I would like to purchase another 810 before they are discontinued. They are excellent knives and it just so happens that it finds its way into my pocket almost every day. I think I would like to purchase one just to keep as a safe queen.

Y'know, any anxiety of these going away can be solved by buying another as backup. ;) But since these are regular production models there's not gonna be a shortage for a long time to come...and Osborne designs are near the top for popularity cross the board, so worry not guys!

I'm not worried at this point. I was just saying I will buy another down the line. I know Osbourne designs are very popular, but the larger knives that Benchmade releases trend to have shorter lifespans in general. Or at least it seems that way to me.

AFCK was a great knife too, and from which I understand it was among the best of BM...
About a second 810, it was a semi joke. Considering the object, design is perfect. Curves are smooth and aggressives in the same time, knife is strong but not massive, resulting of an intense work of reflexion.
And I'm not even talking about the mechanism...
I'd be pleased to have one, clean, unused, as an art object. And to see rolling eyes of people when going to restaurant!!!:):):)

I think they look better used. The coating is pretty tough though. I've cut massive amounts of cardboard and heavy duty plastic strapping and it still look new(ish).

The only area where I can see some wear is on the back spacer. I have the satin blade version and am starting to see a small amount of discoloration in the recesses of the spacer.

The contengo and Rift are two of the best knives I have bought in a LONG time. The contengo in M4 is a cutting machine! They should do a run of M4 Rifts that are not forum knives.

I want a Rift but am disappointed it is only in 154 cm. Really would appreciate a blade steel upgrade also.

Anyone have any comparison pics? How big is the contego next to a grip or other popular knives?

Don't have Griptilian. But I have TruSpec tactical pants http://www.tactical-life.com/guns-and-weapons/tru-specs-24-7-all-season-pant/ , and knife pocket is too small to put 810 in. Deep enough but too strait.
Can put the knife in it with clip below, but it gets stuck near axis lock/axis blade area. And it's difficult to promptly grasp the knife.
No problem with Carhartt pants (B07 and B01).
Thats what I can say.
There's no lanyard hole on the 810. Do somebody think if it's possible to attach a Maxpedition Gear Retractor http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/Maxpedition-Tactical-Gear-Retractor-Medium-Snap-Ring-81p1867.htm on the narrow area of the clip?

^^^^

Total complete agreement on all counts with the above!

Here's a comparison shot of the 810 with a 552, 940 and 556. Sorry for the quality. My light was bad.
