I spent years trying to talk someone into doing an honest to goodness capped / sealed bolster.
Joel Chamblin was the first that I know of:

Joel deserves the credit for that, not me.
I only know of 2 others that do it right now. Richard Rogers and Ryuchi and there are no factories that I have seen.

Without it, Dr knives come across to me as two-bladed jacks. I like those too. .
