Is there a more sturdy folder than the Spyderco Nirvana ?

I think it might be a play on +P ammo for self defense rounds in sidearms. That would fit with the tactical 0perat0r motifs used by Cold Steel marketing.

This was my first thought, as well. I hope we’re wrong. I dislike that kind of marketing in knives.

Then again, I own a Microtech DOC. No operator fantasies, though.

A friend of mine have one. I was impressed how sturdy the knife is. It's a folder, but it really feel as though as a fixed blade. I think the design also help. The Spyderco Nirvana made my Para-2 feels like a flimsy knife after it (and it's brand new). When it comes to folder, do you think of a knife as sturdy as this one ?

I do not have one. Looks like a nice design in S90V.

The most stout folder that I have is the Cold Steel Recon 1 Spear Point in CTS-XHP.

Adamas I’ve heard has a 850lb break force or something ridiculous like that. Cold steel voyagers on you tube seem pretty sturdy too if you buy into their torture tests.
A BM Adamas was also going to be my suggestion! Definitely the strongest folder I have.

The PM2 is plenty strong for a folder. In its class, its hard to beat.
You carry a folder for convenience. It folds and fits in your pocket hence no need for a sheath. The PM2 has plenty of blade and enough real estate in the handle department.
At some point convenience flies out the window, when you build heavy thick clown-like folding knives resembling bricks. For some reason, there are those who believe thick equals strong. All folding knives have an inherent weak point - the pivot. It doesnt matter how thick it is. You use a folder for the work a folder was supposed to do. The batoning part and other sillyness is best left to stronger knives.
If you want strong, use a fixed blade knife.

Lotta sturdy folders outside, Cold Steel 4max probably the best price/quality ratio ( you can find it here on forums for approx. $200 what is heck of a deal for this knife imho).

My new Cold Steel recon 1 feels like the most tactical folder I’ve ever handled. Haven’t put it to the test yet tho so can’t say for sure

If you are just looking for a sturdy feel, I'd vote the 4Max. I've often thought that I should use it more often when I am puttering around the yard -- not as a cutting implement but as a shovel.

Between the lock and the .18” thick blade, you could use the spine of an AD15 as a hammer.
