Is there a significant difference between the "multipurpose" & "clog resistant" belts

Looking at getting a bunch of 4x24 belts from McMaster Carr and I'm stuck between the standard multipurpose alumina oxide and "clog resistant," multipurpose alumina oxide belts. Is the difference in cost made up for in longevity of the belts? My main intent is to shape stabilized blocks and brass/nickel silver bolsters.

Get a belt eraser and you do not need to worry about clogging your belts

Exactly. Soft, stabilized woods and nonferrous metals like brass and nickel silver are both very sticky to grind, but a belt eraser will clean it off in a second.
