Is there a such thing?

I'm looking for a Spyderco knife that meets the following criteria:

1. $50-$80
2. 3.5-inches or greater
3. Folder
4. Flat-ground
5. VG-10 Steel or better (edge holding)
6. Plain Edge
7. No liner/frame locks
8. Deep as possible carry clip (wire preferred)
9. Has double liners
10. Has a backspacer
11. Bright or sheeple-friendly colors preferred but not required

So basically I'm looking for something Endura-sized that's flat-ground except not as expensive as the G10 foliage green Endura... Possibly a cross between the FRN Endura (size, lock, price) and the orange UKPK (wire clip, flat grind, steel), although it wouldn't necessarily have to be orange. Does Spyderco make such a knife? I think that would be about the best knife I could find.

I thought about a white Endura and then sending it to Krein for a regrind, but then I'm pretty much up to the price of the foliage green G10 Endura anyway after shipping and all.

Is there a solution?

Thanks.

near as i can tell, there are no current models that meet all your requirements.

seems that most in your price point are not full height ground. and most colored scales are going to be priced higher as well, other than some frn models, but they arent full height ground.

the d'allara is the closest i can find. and its on closeout. might be worth a look.

Pink Endura sounds about right, except for the low ride clip.

Pink Endura would be saber grind. Only the Foliage Green run are flat ground.

For all the kinds of knives Spyderco makes, you've hit on a combo that doesn't exist to my knowledge. The Caly 3 hits on most of the points; price and blade length being the exceptions.

Yeah, I really like that one. I only wish there were a slightly bigger version of it, and maybe one that had FRN scales.

I'm putting the blade length as a higher priority, though, since I have a Delica that covers the 3" category.

Now maybe if there were a Manix that had a deep-carry clip... That would be absolutely perfect for me.

Just brainstorming :D

Sal has has said that there is an FRN/VG-10 version of the Stretch (with nested liners like the D4 & E4) in the works. That should meet your criteria nicely.

No idea when it will be released, though. I'd guess sometime in 2009.

Why not get that, and contact STR for a custom clip?

Hmm... Looking at the Stretch, that would seem perfect if it were FRN (or even G10) with VG-10 steel. Looking forward to "sometime in 2009," then... lol :D

Good idea. Doesn't he have his own section here on BF? Could you link me? Thanks.
