thanks you all , i am just expected noss do a D-TESTS on maddog knife !
personally , i do not belive in maddog knives are tough enough !
Why not pick up a couple and test them yourself?
So how tough does a knife have to be? If you want to whack on a tree try an axe. Do you really need to hammer through cinder blocks or steel bars with a knife? The quest for a "super" knife is something of a fetish. Who cares if MadDogs aren't as great as advertised? Hype sells these and a whole lot of other super knives that mostly never get used. A $20 Mora will suffice for most knife needs if truth be told.
i think a quote of talk my friend and i made can answer you !
" i wont use a knfe for anything its not supposed to be used for but its nice to know that it will hold up to stuff its not meant to be used for"
"easy to understand. a lot of guys dont like how he tests but i do. if you need to use a knife to climb a tree, its nice to know it wont break if you stick it in a tree and stand on the handle "
Look to Busse or Fallkniven if you need a tank like knife to be used in heavy duty.
My opinion, you pay a huge "hype" premium for a MadDog. Look to Busse or Fallkniven if you need a tank like knife to be used in heavy duty.
Good luck. Few will volunteer up an expensive knife for a destructive test. I doubt MadDog will offer such. Cliff Stamp's experience with the TUSK should tell you enough.
