Is there any CBRN battlefield proof knife?

I was also just curious about this topic after all. It can be relatively good to know which types of materials used for knives could withstand post apocalyptic nuclear wasteland and decontamination. Mainly in terms of handle materials and other materials used on knives.

I will try to study it more, but I highly doubt that military material other than NBC suits would be destroyed in mass quantities. The whole purpose of decontamination is to be able to use it again. That must be true for firearms.

Every piece of military issue kit is disposable. Helicopters, firearms, and all the gear.

Workers that are cleaning up a CBRN affected area aren't going to be popping out a pocket knife to peel apples, break down cardboard or any other knife related tasks.
 
This really just proves what I've been saying all along, these "destruction" tests are BS, Joe X babies his knives and I won't carry a knife until they show me what happens when the knife is stabbed, shot and put in a house with a warhead dropped on it. I wonder if the Salt series could survive it without much patina or anything...

On another note, this thread makes me feel old because I still thought it as called NBC.
 
As far as nuclear contamination goes. I do not think there would be a problem with most knives. Powerwashing and scrubbing will get it clean. I worked on refueling projects for US Nuclear Submarines and on Commercial Nuclear Power plants, and had no issues with decon of tools coming out of containment areas.

I don't know about bio or chem warfare situations but I doubt if it would be very different.
