Is there one you keep coming back to?

As the title says, a knife you seem to always come back to after carrying your newest knife for a while. Recently I have bought six of the G10 Tyrades, and have been carrying a black one for the past few weeks. As much as I like the Tyrade, and I do, I keep missing my ZT0205KW. This knife, along with my other ZT0200's, just seems like the knife for me. I love everything about it, especially the extra heavy duty build, and Kershaw has built a knife that surpasses the price this one sells for. I have had custom tacticals that didn't seem to have the build this knife has, or even as rugged. I know a lot of companies employ CNC technology to build knives and there are a lot of the same knife out there possibly taking away from any exclusitivity of having one. But I am alright with that due to how well this knife is built, and the cost of it allows extra's without much financial hardship, I have 3 total. So, who else has a particular knife they keep coming back to time after time?, and why?

I always find my way back to my bm 710. It just fits my hand so well. It cuts great and is tough as nails. I drop it on cement all the time. It gets covered in dirt etc and still looks and works great. It can be tough to sharpen but it just works for what I need it to do.

The yeller Case Trapper my granddad gave me. No matter what other knives I buy, that one always finds its way back into my pocket eventually.

For me the ZT 0200 is one, just like you and for the same reasons.

Another is the Hinderer XM18 because it's a great knife that begs to be used.

And the Spyderco Paramilitary. The best lightweight slicer for my tastes. I have owned and sold 5 of them so far this year and just grabbed another!

In one-hand-openers, it is the Benchmade Monochrome.

In traditionals, it is a Buck 301.

Spyderco Military over and over again. No matter what other models I buy, they always get usurped by the Millie. It's the closest thing that I've found to the perfect EDC for me.

Leatherman Skeletool became daily gear since I got it. Regular knives switch around among Sebenza, Military, Shallot, sometimes Boker M-Type, and lately the great but heavy G-10 Tyrade. I really like the ZT 200 but it is a brick. The Tyrade seems as tough as the ZTs but it's a lot flatter.

Spyderco C95 Manix.

Strongest production folder(that used to be made):confused:Big, strong and built like a tank. Put my Spyderco Police into retirement.

Liked the Manix so much I bought two extras off the bay as backups in the highly unlikely event I could break the first.Redundancy never hurts.

I'd love to be able to afford a made to spec custom folder, but the likelihood of that happening is pretty slim.

Until somebody can improve on the Manix, I'm set for life for folders.

The Manix is definitely in that indestructible class. I got a Chinook because I liked the blade shape and got another one once I saw how solid it was. That's another good regular carry knife, but for this summer I seem to be rotating among others.

I can't stop carrying my ZT302. I don't know why, I have lighter more practical folders but it just keeps getting into my pocket.

I have a lot of knives in the inventory, but the EDC combo I seem to go back to the most is my small Sebenza 21 and my Swiss Army Knife I got from my sister.

for all the expensive pocket knives I own my sabatier butcher's knives gets 90% of my knife use. even on small stuff like letters and packaging lol. I use it in all my food prep, often twice a day which means it gets washed a lot but I do alwayd handwash it even if it can actually handle the wash. I mean I get that a smaller knife may be more "controllable" but if you use the same knife for EVERYTHING for 6 or 7 years then you can extract splinters with it.

My Buck 313 seems to be getting more pocket time lately. It's in a three knife rotation with an Alpha Dorado and a CRKT Crawford/Casper. If a fixed blade is on my belt the 313 is always in the pocket.

Most definitely. I just posted this pic in another thread, too, but it seems this is the one I carry the most. Busse Satin Jack Tac, Comp Finish, Kydex IWB sheath:

I have a big soft spot for the SNG

Maybe because it's was my first "highend" knife, I'm not sure? It does find it's way in my pocket a lot. At least the DGG DC SNG does.

Just scored a RCC at blade, love it... But it's not a DGG DC SNG. Love my large micarta 21... But it's not a DGG DC SNG. Love my Milies.. But they are not a DGG DC SNG. :o

I love the way the DGG DC SNG feels in the hand, love the light weight feeling in the pocket, love the high flat grind, love how tough it is, love the how the choil let's me really control a cut when needed, love the edge shape, love the hole AND stud, love that grippy gunner grip, love how easy it is to clean (with the Hinderer made Strider tool ;),) love how it sits kind of higher out of the pocket (makes it very east to pull out and puts enough handle into your hand so your thumb is ready to open,) love the "over the top" tact-T kool look she has...

Gosh, I love damn near everything about it :D (if Strider moved the blade stop bump forword a little bit it would let them bring the cutting edge to the choil ... Then it would be perfect!) :D

Also love the Strider clip, it is very tough and has a big lip on her that makes clipping it on to thicker waistbands easy.

my benchmade 690, its beat up and kinda on the thick side but its light and is my "World Beater" that I find in my pocket more than not. I also carry a slippy everyday too!

The Military is my fallback . . . I'm loving the Paramilitary however ;)
