I read a comic about drag titled "MEMAI" means giddy.
In the story,a girl suffering withdrawal symtons hide her given drags "Breaking up not to be found by family",
I felt horror in it,as I am hinding my knives "breaking up not to be found by family",too.

In Japan, carring knives without reason is illegal, and having knife (not sword) is not illegal but not good in COMMON SENCE that is only and absolute religion for us.
And my family said me,"You can live without knives,as you must give up them."
It is not wrong, but I think knives are very convenient, important in emargency, and I can believe myself not to kill or injure unless unavoidable self difence.I heve never troubled person with knives.

But,it's ture that it's not easy for me without knives. As I suspected me being like the addicting girl. She said that she can control and coexist with drag, but --needless to say.

All,are you not addict of knives? And if all haveing weapon is addiction,it is horror as there are so many addiction as tabacoo in the U.S.

And,If it is true that"All convenient and can live without IT but cannot lose"is addiction,so many items;cell phone, car.necktaie, fountain pen.and---almost all is addiction.

*Japanese common sence is not accept selfdefence.Japanese law is very austere for selfdefence too, almost deny and hevier panishment than symple kill or injure."Not to be stabbed,Not selfdeffence."

Knives could be an addiction; but so what? I'd certainly rather be addicted to knives than drugs. Also, knives are useful and relatively inexpensive, unlike cars or neckties.

I definately agree with cerulean! Knives are much more cheaper than Ferraris' and Armanis' (no pun intended!). They are work of art and will double up as a tool as well. Addicted? You can bet on it! It's way better than drugs or gambling, besides it'll save your A$$ when the situation calls for! Enjoy it, use it and carry it with pride!

Konichiwa. A healthy addiction is good. Sword's are valued in Japan still both monetarilly and sentimentally. I think you should keep your knives as a way of remembering the honor and tradition that went with carrying a blade.

I totally agree with Phillip Jones.
Your not harming anyone.
Keep your collection.

I agree with my fellow knifenuts, keep them and enjoy them.

The word addiction is just a trendy over used word being applied to just about everything people do. I'm growing tired of it. Turn on the television and you'll hear them talking about internet addiction. Funny seeing that on the talking idiot box that people have had sat in front of their homes 16 hours a day for the past 30 years. There is no such thing as an addiction. Obsessions and habits I'll agree with but the word addiction is a meaningless over used buzz word.

A knife addiction? Naaah! Theres no such thing.I do`nt have a problem......really, I can give mine up any time....

OK,Thanks!I enjoy life with knife.
I don't feel it vice.
My family tell it bad,but that may be only prejudice.
It is not true that parents' prejudice is true.
