Is this a fake 0562TI?

The knife appears authentic to my untrained eye. However, the serial number on the box does not match what’s on the knife. I’m not a collector, I’m going to use this knife but would like to have the genuine article.

Where did you get the knife, maybe someone just used s different box?

eBay. Probably wouldn’t be as concerned if it was here lol. I can see through the label the numbers don’t match. It looks like the box came from Amazon.

Is that over travel black or the way the light is hitting it?

Looks legit to me as someone else mentioned it could just be a different box, though rare it does happen.

He’s has over 6k in transactions. Dealing mainly with knives. I’ve seen similar labels printed on Amazon boxes. He got the 0562ti part right lol. ZT claims they’ll no longer authenticate but I think they’ll keep it if it is should you send the knife in for any reason and it’s counterfeit.

I think your ok you could always try the old type 0562ti into google and look at the pics any kind of give away would be seeing the same serial number more than once or the same one over and over. I think your in the clear, if it turns out to be a fake they spent some time on it.

I thought the same thing. Really went the extra mile. I googled images and the number and didn’t see one right off the bat.

I’ve owned a ton of them. It is a love hate knife with me, I’ll pick one up use it for a bit then I’ll get a thumb stud knife with amazing action(I’m looking at you Mcnees Mac 2 3.5) and suddenly you banish the flipper, I dunno I do it a couple of times a year!!

To authenticate is to assign a value for the knife.

The only way to find out if it's a clone. Send it to the maker. Tell them the pivot needs lubrication.

Then the wait. If they keep it. You paid for the lesson. If not, you're good to go. You can catalog service trips by the paperwork.

Different serial numbers between the box and knife? Why would a fake go to such lengths? Or that big of being dumb?

There are display knives. The empty boxes on a shelf. A Boss telling someone to ship it. Simple mix up.

But the only way to know. Send it back for maintenance. Not authenticate. Maintenance.

I agree. Here’s a new one for you. The box SN doesn’t match. No problem right? HOWEVER, the SN on the box does match the SN on Amazon. IMG_3388.png

Whoa that’s weird. I think I replied to
You on Reddit and thought it looked real, but I did not know about the box matching the serial number of the display knife. These knives have been out for a long time, I wonder where they got a box from (3-4?) years ago….
