Is this a fake 0562TI?

Replace the order.
Yeah, but from an authorized dealer, or a member here. I hate Amazon for knives, my first expensive knife (0450CF) was from them, and they sent me a 0452CF by mistake. I kept it because I fell in love with that thing lol … it was real, but i believe it was a blem.
The lockside had a line across it, with slightly different finishes on top/bottom.
We ended up using it sort of as a parts knife, and my dad got some practice polishing the finish, so it looks better now… and he still carry’s it sometimes

Edit: sorry got Amazon and eBay mixed up lol…. They both accept returns tho right? It does look real, but the box matching the Stock Photo is sketchy

I didn't buy the knife. All I know, somebody got a serialized box that didn't match the knife.

I'm a bystander.
I'm trying to make sense of what you said, I guess you didn't read the post where he said he bought the knife from ebay, so you told him to return it to Amazon?

Yes it's an odd thread, moral of the story? Don't buy knives on ebay unless it's an authorized dealer or you're prepared to get screwed.

So they have your voucher? All the sales of crazy things. You'll take that responsibility to deal with the complaints?

Ok.

The screw mechanism is all wrong. Dead giveaway
Are you talking about the pivot or the body screws? They look real to me 🤷‍♂️
If it’s a clone it’s the best one I have ever seen….
Or they are getting extremely good at it, down to the placement/font of the writing, and the thumbstuds that are actually blade stops.

Ok.
Uhhhhhhhhh. Put the crack pipe down, boss.

I don’t buy anything I want to be “authentic” off of eBay or Amazon. They’re both like flea markets.

Knife looks legit to me based on photos. OP, check inside of scales.. legit models will have heavy internal milling.

The ZT 0562TI is heavily counterfeited. There was a time when you could spot one by the thumbstud not contacting the handles when open, but they corrected that oversight. The ones they make now are visually identical to the real thing, so you won't be able to tell just by looking at a few pics.

Buying off ebay= red flag.

Serial number on box not matching knife= red flag.

Serial number on box matching stock knife photo on Amazon= red flag.

Does the front handle scale have milled out areas like the first picture below? That's a picture of a real ZT 0562TI. There was a time when the fakes did not have a milled-out front handle (second pic), but I don't know if they started doing it on recent fakes. If your knife has a milled-out front handle, I think that at least is a good sign. But the "red flags" would still give me cause for concern. If it doesn't have the milled-out handle, it's definitely a fake.

As far as a good seller rating on ebay, I don't put much stock in that. It wouldn't surprise me if a seller rating can be faked. It also wouldn't surprise me if many people don't know the difference between real or counterfeit knives, or that counterfeit knives even exist, or they know but don't care.

A real ZT 0562TI.

Indeed it does have the milled out recessed handle and blue ball bearing cages. The handles are non ferrous. I can check the RC at work but it could still be D2. I’m not sure if a knife bought off of Amazon would have the stock 0439SN? That however is underneath the Amazon label. I messaged the seller and got this back. “I buy pallets of knives. They have butcher block knives and pocket knives to axes to hatches. Sometimes I find just bows and find knives later that was found out of boxes. So I would imagine it was a knife found and a box found separately.” Still not a reasonable explanation for the box. I do believe it’s an authentic knife without getting into metallurgy.

Return label printed. I’ll spend the money and buy from a dealer.

Aliexpress has some identical to mine. Mine may not be fake but I won’t chance it.

You're not planning on buying from Aliexpress are you? Those are definitely fakes. Aliexpress is a well-known seller of fakes. You're not going to get a real ZT 0562TI for $47.

And you should delete those links as it is a violation of the rules here to post a link to a non-paying vendor, not to mention a link to counterfeit knives.

If you want a REAL ZT 0562TI, buy from BladeHQ or Knifecenter, or another Bladeforums sponsor. But you'll pay $312, because that's how much a new, genuine ZT 0562TI costs.
