Hi Adrian
You can put pictures in any post of any thread the same way you do in the first post. Move it from your storage Photobucket/FLICKR etc. Or if its easier for you, email me the pics and I'll post them for you. songofthewoods@hotmail.com

Best regards

Robin

Thanks so much .any ideas of the age.my knife collector friend at work thinks it might be victorian ?

My pleasure Adrian. Yes, very likely late victorian. No faint mark on the tang? That's a bit strange for a British knife, could be from Europe. It's quite a decent and different handle.

Best regards

Robin

Yes Robin hence where my thought of a french kate came from .so you been very helpful. Is there a perticular area in knives you like more than others?

Sorry Adrian was away from my computer trying to get ready for a show coming up. I have a real mixed bag of knives, lots of old jacks, a small collection of GEC acrylics, a handful of pearl whittlers, a few harness jacks.
Been thinking about selling everything and starting over but then I take them out and fondle them:D I would like to focus But :D

I'm off to my Daughters for Fathers day so I'll see you again after the weekend, Have a good one.

Best regards

Robin

In some ways they are beautiful.
In some ways unappealing

Who knows?
legend has it that if you put more than one in a house
bad vibes occur.

my wife is lucky.
we outnumber her 3-1.
she doesn't see it that way.
I think this thread just sealed the deal on my next purchse
I mean what could my Mrs. want more....than a knife that opens bottles?
