Is this a game ender for my blade?

I wouldn't worry at all. Looks like just a cosmetic issue. If you're really worried about it, why not chop some wood and see how it holds up?
 
If it REALLY bothers you, i too, would hit it with a Dremel tool & put something to fill it, like JB Weld. I did that with a cheap knife i had 20 years ago & it is still going strong with 0 issues. It has been kept in the basement in a Rubber Maid container.
