Is this a good idea for carry?

What is XD-40? I thought it was some type of new lubricant.

I get up every morning put my pants on and slide a Glock 27 on my side. It stays on me until I take my pants off at night after 9 PM. The only exception to this rule is if I'm flying or traveling to a state that doesn't honor my concealed carry permit. Otherwise, there's not a day goes by that I don't have my wallet, my watch, my knife and my Glock on me at all times.

Man.. that hurt but i'll forgive you and keep buying RC knives... or you can just send me a RC 4 Desert Tan early!
There is nothing wrong with a BLOCK, I just went a better route. JUST KIDDING I don't want to get in the Block vs XD flame war...... :D
I don't conceal carry very much, I do have my CCW permit. I most always have one in my ride though.

I prefer the other Springfield Armory offerings. I have several of their 1911's. The XD just didn't do it for me. My next one is definitely going to be a Glock 20. Unless I join the Alpharetta PD first, in which case, my next will be my service glock. The Glock 20 is on the list though.

Springfield Mil-Spec 1911s are the only ones I've had that were reliable. That includes Colts and other "top names" that were POSes, but that inexpensive Mil-Spec just keeps running.

I've got a Colt 1911 that I love and carry often - never had an issue with it. My dad recently got a Springfield Loaded model 1911 - I haven't shot it, but was hands on with it a few weeks ago - I'm very impressed with it for how reasonably priced they are!

I love my Heckler and Koch, but I also carry a .45 XD compact pretty often. My next purchase will be that Glock Model 30 short frame when I can get one.
