there was a ceramic store that sold kaowool and i went to get some and found that thay had closed for good. so thinking i was out of luck and would have to order online. to day on my way home from work i spoted a ceramic store and stoped in to see if thay had any kaowool even though it looked like thay onley sold stuff to make cemamic things. well i went in and asked and at first thay did not know what i was talking about but then i spoted a full box of 25 feet of kaowool in the corner. i pointed and said thats what i want how much. she was like well we bought out the other ceramic store and we got that. she said she would sell it to me for $60. is this a good price im gessing it is because i have seen it sell for 9 bucks a squar foot. thanks. also thay have a boxthat is stuffed full of small scraps and it waighs lots more than the full box. she would take 50 for it. thanks for the help

its onley a 4lb density and not an 8 is that going to be a problem. could i just kinda smash it down so i could fit 2 layers in a 1" thick wall. that would give me the 8lb density. thanks

I have read that a 4lb density is a bettor insulator than the 8lb but its not as durable.

I would use some and sell the rest. would any one here like some for $5 a foot (12" x 24")

Lets look at this in relative terms.
8# wool sells new for about $5/SF from Darren Ellis (when buying a roll, $8/SF in short cuts). Your wool is 4#, which is usable, but half the weight. A box is usually one roll of twenty-five feet (50SF), so if a box of 8# is $135 and your 4# box is $60, that is about right. The box of scraps for $50 is no deal unless they are larger pieces at least three or four feet long .

You can use it in two layers and get a good insulation. I wouldn't compress it. If you use a 12" forge body you would get a good chamber with two layers.
