Is this a Randall Made?

Someone tell me he has owned this knife over 30 years, the sheath is missed long ago, and he has forgot where was this knife from. My first impression, this is a fake one, the finish looks very poor, and I can't find any Randall knife like this from google, but I can't prove. He seriously means this maybe a genuine Randall, but can't prove too. Anyone has idea?

I can't even call that a fake, since Randall has never made a knife that even looks remotely like that.

Imagine if you took a wedge of cheese and put a Randall stamp on it. That's about as close to a Randall as this thing is.

Not Randall made.....Pakistan made. The stamp is fake.

also it seems the pics are from a Chinese image hosting site. But I agree. That is like taking a ford pinto and taping a Cadillac emblem to the hood.

Oh yeah. Like putting a Bugatti sticker on a yugo. Wow

:D I'm struggling with what to call it. Its not really a counterfeit or forgery because it's overall design bears no resemblance to any Randall knife. Doesn't even have any Randall "elements."

The style is characteristic of many Asian made 'knives' or what one chooses to call it (fake, counterfeit, fugly - I dont really care).

Ive seen several blades reminiscent of 'real' knives in this style.

This actually is a counterfeit. It's a Chinese copy of a Russian knife that was prevalent in the 1980's. As exhibited here, the illegal use of the Randall trademark (generally etched not stamped) can be found on several foreign knockoffs.

Good day. I am new to forums, and have a question about a Randall knife, and whether it's legit. I can provide pictures, but again, I am not familiar with how forums work and don't know anything about picture hosting. Can't I just attach them? Can anybody help?
