As title says I’m wondering if this authentic. To me I would say yes but you guys are the pros. Here ya go
 
Need some different photos- The logo on the last pic looks suspect at the top of the R and in general..Almost photoshopish.
 
The 25 will have a ceramic ball on the lock bar as the interface with the blade. I believe the fakes don’t bother
 
Ask for a ceramic ball pic and if you want to be even sure , ask him to open it up to show the washers which will have milled gaps for the lube.
I would lean to it being real on the look of the blade. I think it’s called the plunge line which goes into the scale rather than straight down on a clone.

What does the outside of the box say????
Either the box isn't right or the bday card is the wrong one. The seven 25's I have all came in the older boxes. I can't recall the 25's coming in the new boxes.
The one I've got from 2013 was hand written on the bday card.
 
If it were my choice, I would pass. Too many possible negatives. And there are many others out there for sale. Good luck in your decision. *** Just saw your two last photos. Hmmm...???
 
So the birthdate on the card is 10/1/13 and the scale date is Q2 2014?

Dang, if 25’s are capable of time travel I ought to pick one up!

ETA: Sorry for the jackass remark. FWIW I’ve seen a 25 at a dealer with that style box, but I’m unsure of the manufacture date. I say authentic knife with the wrong card.

I have a small sebenza with this box from November 2013. Was a legit purchase from dealer. Just saying.

the B-Day card definitely doesn't match the scales. Lol

Did not know that, I think it wasn't until 2015 before I got one in the new box. I know they phased out the older boxes which would explain why I was so late in getting one.

If you bought lefties, you got the older boxes until much later. I have 2016 lefties that came in the old style box.
 
Also... just a possibility, but if the scales were replaced due to a warranty issue it could explain why the birth card was earlier than the scale codes... but I kinda think the odds of this are pretty slim. Most likely just mixed up the birth card with another knife.

But a good question to ask the owner.
