Is this a regular pattern or is it specific to KA-BAR?

Most people refer to a knife that has 1 main blade on one end, and 2 smaller blades on the other end, as a "Whittler" pattern of some sort. There are still a lot of varieties of knife shape that can still fall within the Whittler name.

Here is a group of whittlers made in 2016 for Tuna Valley, made at the Queen factory.

Thank you to everyone for sharing your knowledge and photos of these knives!

Wow I have a lot to look at now! Ha! It should be an interesting avenue to explore.

The funny thing is that I though the larger knives would be more useful, and this medium 3.5" knife is just about perfect for anything. The 1/8 thick main blade is the ticket.

The pieces from GEC are outstanding. I'd really have to study those and get lucky to pick one up in a specific pattern and color way though.. other than a few random ones on eBay, I haven't seen any for sale. Honestly if I was to get one it would probably be the fixed blade that looks like the olcut knives. 🙂. Too many good things.
