Hey all- just wondering if I should get used to this...my boyfriend is obsessed with his Strider knives! His birthday was last week, and I got him a Strider folder with his badge number on it- you'd think I gave him gold! HAHA! He told me there were others out there with this same obsession- please let me know I'm not alone? I'm considering wearing knife oil as my new perfume! Thanks guys!

No you are not alone! I now have my soon to be wife out in the shop making knives with me!:D Allthough the knife oil is a verry good phermone the smell of a freshly ground blade on a woman will drive us knife nuts insane!:D
You did a very good job on choice of folder. He's a lucky man to have a lady with such good taste in his life.
Oh! Yes get used to it! It will only get worse.;)

Do you have a sister? A girl that get her guy a knife is like finding the holy grail or something. Keep up the good work. Yes,it is a sickness. Real habit forming too. Watch out you will catch the fever too.

I'm going to run over to the Strider forum and post a link to this thread there.

If it's a sickness ... hey, why not take advantage of it? :) If he ever balks at buying you jewelry just remind him how many knife knuts there are -- 12,358 members have posted on these forums as of this moment, and probably twenty times that number read Bladeforums but have never posted -- most of us are male -- and all 247,160 of us love women who give us knives -- especially good knives like Striders. Remind him how much potential competition he has and he'll buy you all the jewelry you want!

Or all the knives you want ... have you been infected yet? It can be contagious, you know -- if you get too close to a knife knut you might get infected too....

Actually Cougar, he is pretty lucky- I'm not that in to jewelry! And I haven't become a knife knut myself yet- I'm more of a handgun girl. (He did buy me a beautiful little Sig P239, can't wait to upgrade though) But anyway, thanks for letting me know he's not alone in his obsession!:D

jdupuis, it's not really a sickness, it's an altered state of consciousness! And, yes, there's nothing more refreshing than a good rubdown with Tuf-Cloth in the morning ...

(Deep Sigh.....)
I wish a woman would buy me a knife. Then I would know she loves me.

Both my boyfriend and I love our knives. They are very addicting. I have more than he does right now but he is catching up. It is great we always know what to get eachother for the holidays.
