Is this acceptable?

My CTS-20CP Para Military 2 has a few minor flaws. The jimping was not cut straight or very deeply and there is just the slightest bit of side to blade play when the knife is locked open. It's just such a well designed and useful knife and the steel is so great, that I don't mind these small imperfections. I suppose I'll try to polish and adjust out the blade play out at some point, but I don't notice it at all unless I really go looking for it. What I do notice, virtually every time I use the knife, is how well it performs on so many levels.

If you inspect the undercarriage of a Ferrari, you're going to find some weld joints. If you look at the underside of your Spyderco, you're going to find some laser marks. It's part of the process of how they're built.

Yup. I too was bothered with the play on my 20CP para at first but as I started using it more and more, the design and the steel really got my admiration.
