Is this amount of lockup safe?

I have had thinner liner or frame locks that had much earlier lockup that were perfectly safe to use. Keep in mind that a folding knife is technically broken. Instead of a solid piece of steel, it is a blade with a few pieces bolted to the side of it with a piece of metal jammed in the way hopefully to stop it from closing. Always treat a folder as a slip joint, because you never know when the lock could fail.

The knife is a flipper, with a built in finger guard. So...unless you're doing something that the knife wasn't built for...(hammering with the spine of the blade or spine wacking, prying) you're fine.
The knife is a framelock. If you're hand is holding the frame as intended, the lock is not going to disengage, unless of course you're doing things that I don't warranty in the first place.

Oh no. That knife looks terrible! It is way unsafe! I suggest you send it to me so I may properly dispose of it. ;) :D

I don't have much experience with frame locks, but I would think if it doesn't close with slight pressure to the back of the blade, it would be okay. Within reason of course. I wouldn't try stabbing it into a car door or something like that. And I think that coloring on the jimping is pretty cool. Looks kinda like the way that titanium turns different colors. Very nice knife.
