Well, I recently was practicing grinding on my 1x42 Burr King and I burned my thumb on the blade.

A few days later it filled up with blood, and I couldn't help but notice it had a distinctive heart shape to it. I am wondering if this is a sign, like 'you really gotta love grinding' or if it's more of a warning--like 'loving it ain't enough, you gotta learn what you're doing goofball' At any rate, I took the best internet advice I could find on blister care, which basically said to leave it alone, I have and it is now turning really hard, and feels like the whole thing will peel off soon. I guess for harsh learning lesson this is better than slinging a blade off the buffer into yourself!!

Yes folks I have to admit it's funny. When life throws a curve at you, a good sense of humor is a good asset IMO.
Fortunately I can laugh at this one with you.

its a sign from the steel gods

loveth thy steel above all else, and learneth better to control thy downward pressure ;0)
