the worst is a big,well not that big of chunk out
of the blade near the end.
you can see the shadow of the chip in one of the pictures.
my camera would not get it cause of lighting.

If you have a gentle touch with a dremel, that blade could be cut down and re-profiled to make a shorty blade. Considering how cheap you can pick up a vintage straight with a full blade, I personally wouldn't bother, unless it is an heirloom or you are looking for a project.
