Is this for real? Has anyone actually bought one of these?

i am sure it would be a decent field knife for a soldier if it cost 50 bucks,,,as most carry knives we wouldn't as steel snobs,,but unfortunately it is not 50 bucks and not marketed towards soldiers

I have 4 Dark Ops knifes 2 fixed and 2 folders.I think there great knifes I would put them up against my MOD's or Extrema Ratios any day.
The only thing I didn't like was the sheaths i like the Kydex or Prylon better. Also the folder's are very very hard to open unlike My MOD.Now this is my opinion so don't go getting all GRAZY on me.
Give them a chance.

What is it with the Dork Ops threads recently...
Recently? I thought we'd been lucky as of late, since they seem to have died down...

Oh, well.

Yes, it's funny. Yes, it's all bullcrap. We've all seen it, and we all know better.
Let's talk about another *fresh* topic, while we're at it. Did Benchmade steal the Spyderco hole? Does the Manix fail spinewhack tests?
Old news.

I have four of them. I'm willing to let go of five of them.

Conversation between pals:

Proud Owner of a Dark Ops: "Hey Billy, look at this sweet knife I picked up at the last Super Harm Inducing Tactics (S.H.I.T.) Convention!"

Ordinary Benchmade Owner: "Oh wow! is that the backsaw that is optimized for cutting through plexiglass aircraft canopies or helo windows!?!"

Proud Owner of a Dark Ops: "You bet. And no three wheeled motor carts are safe around me because this knife has a notch that pretty much turns their roofs into revolving doors!"

Ordinary Benchmade Owner: "Man oh man, will I ever be like you?"

Proud Owner of a Dark Ops: "Not anytime soon son, not anytime soon..."

Dork Ops either has massive amounts of venture capital (that is rapidly dwindling) or people are actually buying these knives. They have full page, color ads in most gun and knife publications these days, every month. That come out to tens or hundreds of thousands spent on advertising every month! Nobody can lay out that kind of dough for long unless they have something coming in. They may be crazy like foxes. Anyone who comes to the forums would probably never buy Dork Ops, but that's not to say that other people don't.

Never underestimate the stupidity of your fellow man!

It would be interesting to see their sales figures and marketing research materials. It would be even more interesting if a representative from their company were to come on to the forum and try to defend their products and strategy.

I can assure you people are actually buying these knives.

As far as the massive amounts of venture capital, this sure does seem to be the case, and won't enhance the reputation of venture capitalists very much.
