is this halo v legit?

When talking automatics, we have an autos section.
When talking dealers, we have the Feedback section.

I own a Halo V and guess where I got it from? Josh at PVK is good guy. Mine's Black with a satin blade. It was an awesome addition to my collection and it looks great in my display case. It is also fun to play with.

Would I ever really use it? Nope.. It is simply too hard to carry. It is an enormous blade with no pocket clip. It has to be carried in it's own standard issue kydex sheath. It works great.. But really can't be worn in public.

I just used mine a couple times while hiking.. But then realized I was too afraid to even use it.. Mine is a safe queen.

Just thought I'd give you my experience and what I use it for. Just didn't want to see you blow $500 on something you thought you could use.. But damn it is awesome showing it off to people.

Awesome man. I don't mean to offend the guy by asking about it but I've heard so much about halo clones that look exactly like the real deal. Believe it or not I actually plan to use this knife at work. I go to war against terrorist cardboard boxes and packing tape so it won't be used very hard. I think some people may say spending that much money for something like that may not be right, but the knife is way to cool to pass up.

With clones being so damn good these days (in how close they look to the real thing) the best way to ensure you get the real deal is to buy from a reputable dealer....

There is all kinds of info on this site about who those dealers are.....

JR88FAN is 100% correct. There are more clones out there than you can shake a stick at.

If you want, (I hate to cost Josh at PVK a sale) you might be able to save a hundred bucks and look for gently used Halo V's in this excellent forum. But now that you are a member, I may as well try to help you. Check it out.. But I don't think are any in Orange. And if you are a perfectionist like me, that may not be good enough. But what the heck, here is the link to some nice used Halo's.

God Speed!

yeah i really want the orange handle, plain black blade in elmax. thanks for the suggestion though!

is there a guide somewhere i can read that outlines how to tell the difference between a clone and the real deal? I would hate to get a clone and not ever know it

Read a bit in the automatics section.

yep auto section. In fact there is a sticky thread on the subject of fake halos in that part of the forum.

Anything you buy from Josh at PVK is 110% real Microtech.

I believe he is there their largest U.S. retailer. Microtech's are just like Nike's. If you buy from some obscure "Asian" retailer with prices that seem too cheap to be real, then it probably isn't real. If you buy from a reputable U.S. retailer with a decent return policy, then you are good to go.

i looked on microtech's website for authorized dealers in nevada and his website comes up :).

i still cant really tell the difference between real ones and fake ones!

Josh has been a MT retailer for a long time.
He ran PVK out of Massachusetts for most of the years, recently moving to Nevada.

In the old days, he also ran Blade Auction, arguably one of the best type sites there was.
A lot of us knife folks got our rare collection pieces through there.

His current inventory of many knife brands is impressive...
