Is This Knife a Good Deal? Does Anyone Have One?

Blade kinda resembles the 550 grip.

The actual Uzi firearm is a staple of modern warfare, designed just after the Second World War. It is inherently reliable, effective, and easy to manufacture. From the several I've handled, while heavy, you can't ask much more from a submachine gun.

I would not hesitate to carry any form of the Uzi into dark places and know it will handle any task.

Uzi Knives........not so much.

Get a RAT. ;)

I've handled one in the store where I buy most of my knives, and it's nowhere near as uncomfortable as it looks. Still, there are several knives in the same category that are much better ergonomically.
I'd wager a guess that Col. Gal (or his estate) aren't receiving royalties on this knife either.

It's easy to find a better knife than this, and it's easier to find a more ergonomic knife. But for seventy bucks is this bottom-of-the-barrel price a good deal? Maybe they'll take the Rambo III knife I bought years ago as a trade in.

I would never pay the $250 so called MSRP but I paid $70 for each and for that money I consider them fantastic EDC's.

What I don't care for about them is the release button is small and I have to work at getting my thumb to the button. The Boker Kalashnikov is much more ergonomic to deploy the blade but with close inspection the Uzi knife seems to be a bargain EDC for $70 and USA made. The 154CM on these knives sharpens to shaving sharpness easily and holds a great edge in my experience. I confess I don't understand the liners running past the scales for a lanyard when there is a slot through the scales for a lanyard too but what the hell . . . $70 . . .

For $70 I'm quite happy and I have 50ish other knives to use as comparison.

I say go for it if you like it and for that price. I think they make a good knife for EDC for almost pocket change (street) and you won't be inclined to keep it a safe queen. As a comparison, I have a Benchmade Nitrous Stryker D2 that I paid $80 for and I don't think that knife is worth $80 IMHO. Fully locked and with the screw tight I can move the blade without much effort pinching it with my thumb and index figer and rocking it. It's a good EDC that you won't die over if you get it dirty  but I think the Kershaw Cyclone kicks the BM Nitrous Stryker's ass for under $60.

I vote go for it if you like it, for that price.

One of the magazines did an article on it I think Tac Knives and gave it a very favorable review. Just cause it says UC doesn't mean it isn't any good. I had the folder and thought is was as good as any in it price range. It was identical to the TOPS models in that size as they were from same manufacture'r. If you like the knife that is all that's matter. I think this FB would be very serviceable for you. keepem sharp

Yo! I don't know...it looks kind of cool...like a tactical combat knife...bare bones and uncomfortable as hell, which is how your supposed to be in war...anyway, I'm a cheap skate, so $70 for a knife that nobody on this forum is really recommending, I would try something else...late!

My brother just got two of them and said they come very sharp out of the box. He ordered immediately and I delayed, so he got his and now they've sold out. He also said they're very comfortable. The only thing he didn't particularly like was the sheath.

If you weren't saving up for another knife and had the $70 you may have missed out.

I have gone out on a limb a few times and won some and lost some. Personally, I think it was way worth $70 but that's just me . . .

Pity, for the steel it's a good price I think. But at casual grip the deep thumb ridges (whachamacallit since it also looks like misplaced saw teeth) may be ok since they are rounded but what about at heavy gripping?

Still, not bad price. Pity.

just because its made in the usa and stamped that doesnt mean its no better than others from other countries! it just tells me over paid labor for sub caliber junk! buy a known usa brand like blue box benchmade or kershaw and get ripped with a well known name from here!
