BTW, you can now buy a "Stanley Knife" that's an auto - auto retraction that is. You push the button forward to cut stuff, and when you let go the blade springs back into the handle. You can't lock it in the open position except with a rubber band or something. And they issue it with those round-nose blades too.

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine dropped by with six military surplus bayonets that'd he'd picked up at some sale. They were pretty beat up, but he said I could keep one if I'd sharpen 'em all. Well, like a fool I took the deal, broke out my Edgemate and went to work. About three hours later, I had one really awesome bayonet and five pretty passible ones. Needless to say, I kept the one and returned the five. That thing is just really sharp, so sharp that I've been using it as a kitchen knife for fine slicing. It probably looks kind of weird to see someone cooking with a nasty looking bayonet.

Following a recent stay, my younger brother gave me a refriderator decoration that says:

Martha Steward does not live here.... And it's "a good thing."

Bachelor Living at its best.
