Is this Machete anything special? Wood and hide sheath....

Hey all,

Picked up a tool lot and this was in the mix. My google-fu is weak with this one. No makers marks or COO etc...(some PO engravings)

Anyway, anything special or just a cheapie? Any ideas on COO?

not sure if its anything special or not, but it looks like it would pinch a finger in a microsecond! .......that half metal handle is painful just to look at.

Not sure, but this looks like a parang so its probably from south east asia

Looks like an authentic parang or Golok knife. Doesn't look like the more common tourist type stuff either. I'd call it a win from the pics

It's a Phillippine bolo. They go by many names depending on the area of the island. It shouldn't be an expensive knife, but it would be useful.

I have something that looks literally exactly like what's in that picture, just less used. Same sheath, too. The one I have is a Kris Cutlery bangkon.
