Hello, I'm new over here, but I was actually reading this forum for quite a long time. What more to say than just... i love knives! A while ago, i started making some of them, so I also have some questions which I hope you can help me with.

So... Can you tell me (if you can recognize from the picture) is this micarta? I've seen a lots of pictures, but I'm not sure that this in the pic is micarta?
I'm planing to make a handle for a knife which actually was a piece of 440c stainless katana, and make it for survival action...

Could be or G10, either way, it should work for a handle.

To be technically correct, this appears to be an industrial-grade canvas phenolic laminate of grade CE. I don't believe that Westinghouse or Norplex (who own the trademark for the Micarta product name) have ever created grade CE Micarta with this pattern.
