Is this normal for a cheap Mora?

I have seen this on many Moras, both carbon and stainless steel ones. It is frequent enough that you could call it “normal”, as in normally occurring.
I wouldn’t sweat it too much. With use and sharpening the blade will show a lot more character anyway.
Most of mine have these marks too.
If you want a pristine one, buy a couple more, and if possible, ask the vendor to inspect them before shipping.

I have those marks on my Mora Robust, but none of my companions or Eldris. The spine of the Robust blade also isn’t finished. I think the $3 difference between the $15 Robust and $18 Companion is literally just finishing work. I don’t worry about it.

On that note, just realized Mora raised their prices, because I didn’t pay $15 for the Robust when I picked it up a few months ago.

Hello, this is my first post here, I hope I’m posting in the right category.

I purchased a Mora 546 and it came with what to me seems like an obvious defect in the blade.

Is this normal for these? Should I return and look for another?

Thank you
You must be kidding,

Use the knife for 6 months, them come back and tell us if that dimple on a sub $20 knife matters..my guess is it won't and I'm betting that Mora will be your new favorite outdoor & camp knife.

I have three Mora's I use for camping and backyard fires, I have given a couple more away to family members. They are great general and hard use knives while remaining inexpensive.

Welcome Niub!
hope you enjoy
fruitful visits here...
hmm, it doesn't look like
a structural defect.
perhaps more likely a cosmetic qc issue.
but as many here have voiced;
its not about to cause
a knife fail...
and sometimes one can always try to live with cosmetic flaws
as if it were a beauty mark unique to you...
