is this normal on the bk14?

Looks to me like it might be hungry and want to cut something. Not sit around all dam day holding mustard & apple's like some hipster sandwich.
 
Actually it has cut many things as I live right in between big Sur and montagne de oro state park. Its also been with me when i visit home in the blue ridge mountains as well as hunting in texas. Lets not make assumptions man. I patinaed it again and I like it. It took on an almost stonewash finish

Not long man. Just about 1 1/2 hr or 2. Now that I know that it won't affect the blade negatively, I'm not too worried about it. It adds character. I did the new one with white wine vinegar. The pitting definitely showed through but not as significantly after I sanded it down a bit. Now it looks pretty awesome. I was looking to personalize it and its definitely not like any I've seen before :) I'll take some pics when I get home. LG&M: I figured you were, man. No worries!
